In Hattangsa(the Three Principle, Samjae), Heaven, Earth,
    and Human are considered the fundamental elements of all
    creation. Heaven is the beginning of Hattangsa, symbolizing
    the origin of all things.
    Similarly, ㆍ ㅡ ㅣ([ʌ] eu i) are the foundations of all eight
    vowels, representing the fundamental sounds.
    Among them, ㆍ is the most fundamental and primary
    character, symbolizing the origin of sound and existence.
