3. Explanation of medial sounds


    The medial sound is placed at the center of the character's
    sound, connecting the initial and final sounds to complete
    the syllable. They serve as the bridge that unifies the
    beginning and end of a sound, ensuring the harmony and
    flow of pronunciation.

    The medial sound of the word          [tʰʌn] is ㆍ[ʌ]. Since ㆍ is
    positioned between ㅌ(T) and ㄴ(N), it forms the sound
    [tʰʌn].
    The medial sound of the word 즉 Jeuk is ㅡ(eu)[ɯ]. Since
    ㅡ is positioned between ㅈ(J) andㄱ(G), it forms the sound
    즉 Jeuk.
    The medial sound of the word 침 Chim isㅣ(i). Since ㅣ is
    positioned between ㅊ and ㅁ, it forms the sound 침 Chim.
    In the same way, the medial sounds ㅗ ㅏ ㅜ ㅓ ㅛ ㅑ ㅠ ㅕ
    (o a u eo yo ya yu yeo) complete the sounds in words like
    [xoŋ], 땀 TTam, 군 Gun,              [ŋəp], 욕 Yok,  Zyang, 슏
    Syut, and 볃 Byeot by positioning themselves between the
    initial and final sounds to form complete syllables.
