Combination with ㅣ, Human
When a single medial sound (basic vowel) ㆍ ㅡ ㅗ ㅏ ㅜ ㅓ
ㅛ ㅑ ㅠ ㅕ ([ʌ] eu o a u eo yo ya yu yeo) combines with ㅣ
(i), it results in 10 different sounds: ㅓ ㅢ ㅚ ㅐ ㅟ ㅔ ㆉ ㅒ
ㆌ ㅖ (eo eui oi ai ui Yol yai yui yeoi) [ʌ ɯj oj aj uj əj joj
jaj juj jəj].
When two medial sounds combine with ㅣ, it forms 4
additional sounds: ㅙ ㅞ ㆈ ㆋ (oai ueoi yoyai yuyeoi) [waj
wəj jajaj jujəj]
The reason ㅣ can harmonize with both deep and shallow
sounds, as well as open and closed sounds, is that it allows
the tongue to extend and the mouth to open more naturally,
making pronunciation easier.
Furthermore, this reflects how humans participate in
understanding and expressing all things in the world,
demonstrating their ability to connect and communicate
universally.
