Combination of medial letters

                     In medial sounds, two or three letters can be combined to
                     form a single unit. Examples include 과 Gwa, which refers
                     to the bridge on a GeoMunGo (traditional Korean zither),
                     and 홰 Hwae, meaning a torch or a burning firebrand.


                     Combination of multiple consonants of final sounds

                     Similarly, in final sounds, consonants can also be written
                     side by side, just as in the initial position. Examples of this
                     include     [hʌlk], meaning soil, 낛 [naks], meaning a fishing
                     hook, and        [tʌrks pstaj] meaning the time of the rooster.


                     Writing from left to right

                     When different letters are placed side by side, they are
                     written from left to right. This rule applies consistently to
                     initial sounds, medial sounds, and final sounds.
                     When mixing Hangul and Hanja in writing, additional
                     medial or final sounds can be inserted based on the
                     pronunciation of the Hanja. For example, the phrase
                     "Confucius is a person from the state of Lu" could be written
                     as "공자 ㅣ 노ㅅ사람” (공 놋 사) [Koŋ tɕʌj not sarʌm]
                     to reflect the pronunciation more accurately.
