6. Examples of sound usage

         Initial consonants

         ㄱ 그(Geu) appears in 감 Gam, persimmon, and  [kʌl],
             reed.
         ㅋ 크(Keu) appears in 우케 UKe, unhusked rice, and 콩
             Kong, bean.
         ㆁ [ŋeu] appears in 러 ReoUl, raccoon and 서 SeoE,
             floating ice.

         ㄷ 드(Deu) appears in 뒤 Dwi, cogon grass and 담 Dam,
             wall.
         ㅌ 트(Teu) appears in 고티 GoTi, silkworm cocoon, and 두
             텁 DuTeop, toad.
         ㄴ 느(Neu) appears in 노로 NoRo, roe deer, and 납 Nap,
             monkey.

         ㅂ 브(Beu) appears in  [pʌl], arm, and 벌 Beol, bee.
         ㅍ 프(Peu) appears in 파 Pa, green onion, and  [pʰʌl], fly.
         ㅁ 므(Meu) appears in 뫼 Mwe, mountain, and 마 Ma,
             horseradish.
         ㅸ     (Veu) [β] appears in 사 [saβi], shrimp, and 드
             [tɯβɯj], gourd dipper.
