11. Hangul and CHeongbugyeong

    The Cheonbugyeong, The Universe Principle, is known as a
    scripture passed down through the ages of the Korean
    people. It is said to contain the fundamental principles of the
    universe. While there is much debate regarding its
    authenticity and interpretation, it is interesting enough that
    the principles of Hangul creation, as documented in the
    Haeryebon, are connected to the content of the
    Cheonbugyeong.
    The most representative link is the universal principle of
    Heaven, Earth, and Human. This is the Hasattang (Hanul,
    Saram, Ttang: Heaven, Human, Earth), or Samgeuk or
    Samjae philosophy of Korea. Just as the cosmos operates in
    harmony, divided into three elements, Hangul also forms a
    complete sound by being divided into initial consonants,
    medial vowels, and final consonants that are then
    recombined. This principle directly reflects the fundamental
    order that creates and operates all things in the universe.
    Furthermore, just as the human being is the most important
    entity in the universe, in Hangul, the medial vowels, which
    represent the role of humans, serve as the core component
    that completes a sound. This shows that the principles of
