The Hasattang philosophy explained as Samgeuk in the
    Hunminjeongeum Haeryebon reflects the Korean people's
    major view of the universe. Hasattang represents the
    fundamental structure of the universe.
    Hasattang is visualized through the basic geometric elements
    of Wonsene(The Circle-Triangle-Square trinity) and
    Jeomsegaseon (Dot, Vertical Line, Horizontal Line). The
    shapes of Hangul are modeled after these geometric forms.
    The foundational sounds represent Hasattang, and are
    harmonized with the principles of Balk-I-Eo(The Balkeum-
    Ieum-Eodum Trinity: Brightness-Connection-Darkness,
    Yin-Harmony-Yang) and Daum (the Five Movements; the
    Five Elements) to produce 39.8 billion sounds.
    Hunminjeongeum can encompass any sound. Nature and
    objects contain Hangul. Within Hangul, the universe, nature,
    and all things are present.
    Hangul was created based on profound cosmic principles
    and philosophy. Therefore, Hangul is not merely a script. It
    is a cosmic philosophy. To engage with Hangul is to
    understand and align with the laws of the universe.
    Hangul came from the cosmos.
    The universe is embedded within Hangul.
