Exceptional cases: ㆁ ㄹ ㅿ
However, ㆁ [ŋeu-iŋ] is an exception because its sound is
different from the others.
ㄹ (Reu-iL) is a half-coronal sound, and ㅿ(Zeu-iZ) is a
half-dental sound. They are also shaped after the tongue
and teeth, but their shapes are different, so the meaning of
the added strokes is also different. In their cases, the strokes
do not indicate a stronger sound.
Unlike other consonants, the sounds of ㄹ(Reu-iL) and ㅿ
(Zeu-iZ) are not intensified by the additional strokes.
