    1. Focus on the principles and philosophy of creation

    In the translation of Hunminjeongeum (Jeongeum)
    Haeryebon, the emphasis is placed on conveying the
    principles and philosophy behind its creation from a general
    perspective rather than providing linguistic explanations.
    For younger generations, expressions have been adapted
    where necessary to make the fundamental principles and
    philosophy of Hunminjeongeum more accessible.
    For a more traditional and scholarly interpretation of the
    Hunminjeongeum Haeryebon, I recommend a book
    “Reading the Hunminjeongeum Haeryebon Together” - Kim
    Seulong, 2024. Dr. Kim Seulong's research achievements in
    Hunminjeongeum have been directly and indirectly utilized
    in this book. As the foremost expert in interpreting the
    Hunminjeongeum, Dr. Kim's dedication and passion for
    Hangul deserve great respect.
    The translation references and utilizes the research results of
    many scholars. In some cases, specific sources have not been
    fully identified. These will be specified as soon as they are
    confirmed.
