HANGUL, The Cosmic Philosophy · p.294 / 428
In the full set of combinable Hangul Jamo characters in
Unicode, there are 125 initial sounds, 94 medial vowels, and
138 final sounds. Each set includes an empty element. When
    calculated by total code capacity, 125 × 95 × 138 results in
1,638,750 possible sound combinations. However, this
number includes cases where the initial or medial sounds do
    not actually exist.
When forming a complete Hangul syllable, the final sound
can be omitted, but the initial and medial sounds cannot.
Therefore, excluding those two cases, the actual number of
    valid syllables is 124 × 94 × 138, which equals 1,608,528.
The full set of 1.6 million possible syllables has been made
accessible. [View 1.6 million Hangul sounds]

    11,172 Unicode Hangul sounds

The total number of complete Hangul syllables (Ongulja) in
modern Hangul is 11,172, and these are registered in the
global standard character set, Unicode. These syllables are
fully accessible through computers and digital devices.
The number of Hangul syllables formed with only an initial
    and a medial sound is calculated as 19 × 21 = 399. The
number of syllables formed with an initial, a medial, and a
    final sound is 19 × 21 × 27 = 10,773. Adding these together
