7. Philosophy terms in Korean

    Hasattang Balk-I-Eo Daum( or Hattangsa Eo-I-Balk
    Daum) is a simplified and intuitive Korean expression for the
    core principles of Samjae (Three Element Philosophy) and
    Yin-Yang and the Five Elements, which are fundamental to
    the creation of Hunminjeongeum. Although Yin-Yang and
    the Five Elements are key concepts in Eastern philosophy
    that explain the principles of the universe and nature, their
    Chinese-based terminology can create linguistic barriers for
    modern generations, making them seem difficult and
    unfamiliar.
    Moreover, the Samjae (Heaven, Earth, and Human)
    philosophy is not only a central cosmological view for the
    Korean people but also the most essential concept in
    Hunminjeongeum. Therefore, expressing it in native Korean
    terms became even more necessary.
    Language is the heart of the people. It is the vessel that holds
    our spirit, culture, and history. Thought is formed through
    language, and if the language is difficult or unfamiliar, the
    depth of that thought becomes limited. For younger
    generations who are not familiar with Chinese characters,
    terms like Samjae, Cheonjiin (Heaven, Earth, Human), and
